For young people with an intellectual disability aged between 7-15 years of age.
Special Olympics Australia, Bupa and Weetbix have teamed up to offer young people with an intellectual disability aged between 7-15 years of age, the oppportunity to participate in the upcoming Weetbix TRYathlon.
The young athletes participating have no costs, receive cool uniforms and gifts and are presented with a medal with all other athletes at the each event. Some may also get an opportunity to be in the media.
Friends at Bupa - 'Bupa Troopers' will also be on hand to support the athletes in each event and ensure that the course for the swim, run and cycle are modified to meet the abilities of our athletes. They even have an exercise bike set up in the Bupa tents for those athletes who ahve trouble riding a normal bicycle.
