Take 5 Minutes
Print friendly
- Find a chair, a room or a place in the garden that truly feels 'yours'. When you are there, open your eyes, listen to the sounds around you, focus your attention on what is happening right now. Try to acccept and let go of your thoughts as they arise.
- Go for a five minute walk in the garden or up the street. Nature is very relaxing. Breathe deeply as you walk.
- Retreat to a room alone and close the door behind you. Sit comfortably in a chair and practice deep breathing. Simply taking five minutes to retreat to your own space can provide a calming effect.
- It is simple and obvious, take a 5 minute break to enjoy your favourite (non-alcoholic) beverage such as tea or coffee. This will energise and refresh you and give you a reason to pause for five minutes.
